Occasionally, people will ask me why I don't install a simple shopping cart ordering system at Player-Care. Sometimes, people actually complain about how complex it is to place an order at my web site. So, I'd like to explain why I will never install a shopping cart ordering system.

First and foremost, they are not 100% safe! All shopping cart systems are vulnerable to a determined hacker. Worse yet, they are easily accessed by whomever hosts the system. I find that an unnecessary and unacceptable risk. I respect my customers' right to privacy and their right to feel safe and secure about ordering merchandise from my web site. Fact is, the only drawback to my system is that the customer has to learn how it works.

Frankly, my system is quite easy to use if the user can follow directions. And, the directions are written at the top of every order form. The only real problem with my system is that some people don't like to read directions. They expect every web site to be like every other web site. They never consider the validity of one of the oldest phrases in history; "When in Rome, do as the Romans do". Player-Care is my "Rome", and I won't sacrifice the rights or privacy of my customers just to make it a little easier for those who haven't got the time or the patience to read a few directions.
