I offer a variety of services from simple tuning
and servicing to major
restoration.
The Minimum Charge for a First Visit is $125.00 -includes 10 miles travel. (See EXAMPLES below)
The Service Charge is $68.50. (For Repeat Customers/Visits)
The Standard Labor Rate is $95.00/hour plus parts.
The Travel Allowance is $1.85/mile* based on a One-Way Trip to your home.
(*Plus Bridge Tolls/Parking Fees/Toll Road Fees)
EXAMPLE ONE: If you live 35 miles from Brick, NJ: The initial charge will be $125.00 plus $46.25 for Travel. The visit will include the first 40 minutes of time spent at the piano (evaluation and/or labor). After the first 40 minutes, the labor rate is $95.00/hr. plus parts.
EXAMPLE TWO: If I have repaired/serviced your instrument before, the charge to get me to your home again is $68.50 plus mileage. Once I arrive, the hour rate goes into effect. So, if you live 60 miles away, and the job takes two hours, the bill will be $369.50 (plus 7% sales tax in New Jersey).
I carry a small supply of rebuilding materials and can Hand Craft
parts that
are broken or missing and no longer available.
If it has piano strings, piano type hammers, dampers and makes music all by itself.
I can fix it.
If you have to foot-pump the unit in any fashion to create negative air
pressure.
I can fix it.
I work on player pianos, nickelodeons, pump organs and other reproducing
instruments.
I do not buy or sell used instruments.
