Subject: 1997 MMD Author Awards

Hi all,  Seasons greetings from wet Warwickshire.  It is customary in
the UK to have annual awards for just about anything, so here are
mine for the MMDers!

  To John Tuttle -- The award for most helpful contributions
  To Craig Brougher -- the award for the best technical treatises
  To George Bogatko --  the award for outstanding musical talent
  To Wayne Stahnke -- the award for technical brilliance
  To Joyce Brite -- the award for sheer enthusiasm
  To Robbie Rhodes and Jody Kravitz -- the award for just being there,
     every day, every week.

Sorry if I have missed any other deserving cases -- I am sure that there
are many.  Perhaps others could make suggestions?
